Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our team in various administrative tasks at the Baton Rouge Training Center. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the training center and providing excellent customer support to the public, students, instructors and members.
Responsibilities
- Assists with daily operations.
- Assists maintaining National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) records for students.
- Assists instructors with instructional material.
- Assists with scheduling and proctoring of skill assessments and computer-based module testing.
- Primarily responsible for all incoming calls and clerical responsibilities.
- Assists with registering students for classes.
- Assists with partnership/community outreach events (Signing Day, Build Your Future, Craft Competition).
- Assist with internal audits.
- Participate in all activities as designated by the Director of Workforce Development and Senior Director of Education.
- Maintains student records in the Filemaker database as applicable.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Cooperates fully with other staff members to most effectively and efficiently serve the Pelican Chapter.
Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred.
- Strong computer literacy with experience in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc).
- Familiarity with clerical tasks and office procedures is essential.
