Position Summary

The Junior/Entry-Level Bookkeeper position supports the bookkeeping and accounting functions of Campbell Business Solutions, LLC under the supervision of senior accounting staff. This role is designed for an individual who is developing foundational bookkeeping skills and gaining hands-on experience with day-to-day financial transactions, reconciliations, and client record maintenance. The Junior Bookkeeper will work closely with experienced team members while building proficiency in accounting systems and processes.

Core Responsibilities - Junior/Entry-Level Bookkeeper

Assist with recording day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records within accounting software.
Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations under supervision.
Support payroll data entry and assist with payroll processing tasks.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Assist in preparing basic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Support month-end closing tasks, including journal entry preparation and account reviews.
Assist with sales tax filings and compliance-related documentation.
Communicate with internal team members to obtain required financial information and documentation.
Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of bookkeeping or accounting principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the bookkeeping and accounting field.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or administrative roles.
Exposure to accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
Currently enrolled in or completed coursework in accounting or bookkeeping.
Experience working with spreadsheets and basic financial reporting.

This position offers a structured path for professional development. The Junior/Entry-Level Bookkeeper will gain hands-on experience with full-cycle bookkeeping processes and may progress into a Full-Charge Bookkeeper role as skills, experience, and performance develop.
