Position Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as the operational leader of Holy Dippers, responsible for translating ownership’s vision into execution across all business functions. This role oversees daily operations, drives accountability through KPIs, ensures financial discipline, and builds scalable systems to support growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong decision-making, team leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all daily operations across business units including field operations, logistics, customer service, HR, IT, accounting and compliance
- Ensure efficient scheduling, routing, and execution of service delivery
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance
- Act as the primary point of accountability for operational performance
Strategic Execution
- Own execution of the company's vision with full accountability for operational performance
- Drive execution of company priorities and quarterly goals
- Lead Level 10 meetings and ensure alignment across departments
- Maintain organizational clarity, structure, and accountability
Process Optimization & Scalability
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Implement systems and technologies to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Build infrastructure to support multi-site and multi-crew scalability
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- Oversee P&L performance with a focus on profitability and margin improvement
- Allocate labor, equipment, and capital resources effectively
- Partner with ownership on financial strategy and growth planning
Performance Management & KPIs
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators across all departments
- Create dashboards and reporting systems to track company performance
- Hold department leaders accountable to measurable outcomes
- Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing leadership team
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures
- Support hiring, training, and retention of key personnel
- Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
- 5–10+ years of progressive leadership experience driving team growth and operational scale in demanding industries such as logistics, construction, waste management, or similar sectors
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L, and forecasting
- Proven ability to build and scale operational systems
- Demonstrated success leading teams in fast-paced, field-based environments
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
