*This is an on-site position located in Shreveport, LA*
Prolec GE designs, manufactures, and sells products and solutions for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy. With more than 50 years’ experience in the industry, Prolec GE is an important player in the Mexican market and a key participant in the rest of the Americas, with business units in Mexico, the United States, and Brazil.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute plans to ensure production has the correct prioritization, materials and information to meet business objectives set by Prolec GE.
- Coordinate and perform all required functions from schedule development following up on real production output
- Assure that materials/services will be delivered on schedule, meets required quality standards and aligns with planned production sequencing
- Organize and distribute shop orders to proper production shareholders
- Coordinate with outsourced suppliers to assure health WIP levels in assigned areas
- Document and track issues with units or processes to enable improvement initiatives
- Use Excel and ERP systems to eliminate risk to process outputs
- Assure Manufacturing floor inventory through analysis of shop order shortages, leading to accurate back flush and or completion of assembly or small parts requirements
- Achieve optimal material flow through daily and weekly communications through updates to the shortage report program and load analysis to the Master scheduler on potential supplier lead time issues
- Assure business initiatives by supporting functions outside of materials with ERP system set up and participation in projects
- Other duties as assigned
Required Characteristics
- Bachelors degree required
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Experience with ERP systems, planned inventory transactions, inventory transactions and replenishment orders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
