Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure a clean appearance.
- Handle commercial cleaning duties in various settings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist with custodial duties such as trash removal and recycling efforts.
- Provide support in industrial cleaning tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of residential painting or facilities maintenance can be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift and move equipment or supplies as required for cleaning tasks.
