Fingerprint Technicians are responsible for classifying and identifying fingerprints and processing all prisoners arrested by BRPD officers and other agencies through Live Scan. As of Sept 10th, 2022, a new, Fingerprint Technician can earn up to $29,474 after one year.

Base starting salary
$24,279 – annually
After six months from the date of hire (3% merit increase)
$24,900 – annually
After one year from the date of hire (3% merit increase)
$25,724 – after one year
MERIT INCREASES FOR EACH YEAR OF SERVICE FOLLOWING (3%)
- 80 + hours of college – $1,125 annually
- Bachelor’s degree – $3,000 annually
- Master’s degree – $3,750 annually
- Days | 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Evenings | 3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. (additional $0.50 / hour)
- Nights | 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (additional $1.00 / hour)
