The mission of the LSLBC is to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public dealing with those engaged in the contracting vocation; to afford such persons an effective and practical protection against the unlawful and fraudulent acts of contractors with whom they contract; and to maintain the integrity of the construction industry. Further, the Board shall monitor construction projects to ensure compliance with the licensure requirements of the statutes.
About This Position:
The Compliance Investigations Administrator exercises comprehensive executive authority over the Enforcement Division and directs all investigative and regulatory compliance operations of the agency. This position ensures a coordinated and strategic approach to regulatory oversight by establishing long-range organizational goals, defining operational priorities, and overseeing the development and administration of the division’s budget to support fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.
The Administrator provides leadership in the interpretation and application of rules, state statutes, and administrative law governing the agency’s regulatory functions. Through the review of evidentiary standards and administrative procedures, the position ensures that investigative and adjudicative processes fully comply with statutory requirements and established legal protocols to safeguard the public welfare.

Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in accounting, auditing, administrative services, building inspection, real estate appraisal, law enforcement, investigations, or in the issuance or recommendation of medical licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in accounting, auditing, administrative services, building inspection, real estate appraisal, law enforcement, investigations, or in the issuance or recommendation of medical licenses; OR
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in accounting, auditing, administrative services, building inspection, real estate appraisal, law enforcement, investigations, or in the issuance or recommendation of medical licenses; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in accounting, auditing, administrative services, building inspection, real estate appraisal, law enforcement, investigations, or in the issuance or recommendation of medical licenses.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

As a Recruitment Specialist, You Will Be Instrumental In Delivering a Streamlined And Engaging Hiring Experience For Both Candidates And Hiring Managers. In This Role, You Will:
- Provides executive-level oversight and direction for all operations within the Enforcement Division.
- Establishes long-range strategic goals and objectives that align with the agency’s regulatory mission.
- Develops and administers the division’s operating budget while ensuring responsible fiscal management.
- Monitors operational performance against established benchmarks and implements systemic improvements to enhance efficiency, accountability, and regulatory outcomes.
- Serves as the agency head in the absence of the agency's Appointing Authority.
- Directs the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and guidelines governing investigations, audits, and related regulatory enforcement activities.
- Oversees agency-wide compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws governing licensing, enforcement, and investigative processes.
- Reviews investigative practices and evidentiary procedures to ensure enforcement actions are legally defensible and consistent with administrative law standards.
- Establishes internal operational policies to support consistent and effective investigative practices.
- Oversees the design and delivery of formal training programs for investigative personnel to ensure ongoing proficiency in agency procedures, statutory requirements, and legal standards.
- Ensures staff remain informed of changes to laws, administrative rules, and enforcement protocols.
- Represents the agency and the state on various commissions, regulatory boards, and professional organizations.
- Engages with legislators, federal officials, and industry stakeholders on matters related to compliance, enforcement, and regulatory policy.
- Maintains strong professional relationships that support the agency’s mission and regulatory authority.
- Collaborates with legislators and policymakers to ensure regulatory frameworks remain effective, enforceable, and aligned with public policy goals.
