Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution center team. This role involves supporting efficient warehouse operations through inventory management, materials handling, and equipment operation. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, safe handling of goods, and smooth warehouse workflows. Duties
- Assist with inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining accurate stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks efficiently to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, using AS400 systems for documentation.
- Handle materials with mechanical knowledge to ensure proper handling techniques while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Participate in manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed, including heavy lifting and materials handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by following safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines.
- Assist in packaging products securely for shipment, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve distribution processes and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, RF scanners, and related technology.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools safely.
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures within a distribution or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
- Experience with stock replenishment, order fulfillment, load & unload activities, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
