Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, cycle counting, and inventory control.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials using appropriate equipment like heavy lifting tools and mechanical aids.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist in shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Stock shelves and organize warehouse space for optimal storage and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting routine equipment inspections.
- Support warehouse distribution activities including packaging, order picking, materials handling, and construction-related tasks if applicable.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve operational workflows and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers; warehouse supervisor experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly throughout the shift.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
