We are searching for an Electromechanical Field Service Technician who has experience working with Packaging Machinery.
The position will be based in Pineville, LA in a Fortune 500 manufacturing plant.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The embedded Field Service Specialist position supports the consumer Division at customer site in Pineville, LA, in an enhanced service role pertinent to the operations of that division.
A U.S. customer purchased machines that are built, commissioned and qualified consumer GmbH in Germany.
After a factory acceptance test (FAT) performed by the customer in Germany, the lines will be shipped to the customer site in the U.S.
At customer site, the lines are to be installed and re-commissioned. After a final acceptance by the customer, there will be further activities on the lines.
For these activities, the customer has requested a specialist to support this phase in the project.

· Performs service and maintenance of equipment.
· Install, maintain, repair both mechanical and electrical systems and components on machinery following blueprints, electrical codes, schematics, and manuals, both at customer sites and in-house
· Installs wiring and conduit and connects power supply to machine
· Assists with in-house assembly and related activities
· Follows instructions and duties as requested by supervisor
· Valid Driver’s License is required
Qualifications and Skills
Electrical education a plus
Training will be provided
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Ability to travel when needed.
