Central Louisiana State Hospital, located in Pineville, Louisiana, is seeking applicants for a vacant position in our FISCAL DEPARTMENT as a Warehouse Technician 1-2 who performs operational support tasks in a warehouse environment.

The Warehouse Technician 1-2 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH’s values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to ensure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Coordinate the operation of the Hospital-Wide Mailroom. Process all incoming and outgoing mail according to established CLSH policies.
Perform specialized work in the operation of postal machines and scales, maintenance of machines, and daily monitoring of mail receipts and distribution.
Receive and issue office supplies from the Mailroom Warehouse.
Complete requisitions to order supplies to maintain a perpetual inventory of all supplies.
Monitor stock levels and determine levels required for daily operation of the hospital.
Verify the accuracy of the items received against purchase order and sign receiving documents.
Assist with property control of the facility.
Assist with movement of all equipment from one location to another while assuring that all property tag numbers, signatures, and location codes are correct and posted to work orders for posting to inventory control program.
Assembles items as needed, such as chairs, desks, etc.
Maintain catalog of all printed forms utilized by the hospital, non-patient and patient care areas.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotion, or Demotion. Must be a current Full-time Permanent employee of CLSH.

Compensation: This position has a Minimum Hire Rate of $1,122.40 bi-weekly.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
