The Loan Servicing Specialist I is an entry-level role focused on delivering a positive experience for both internal teams and external customers by supporting key servicing processes that impact the full loan lifecycle. Working under close supervision, this position helps ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in all assigned tasks while developing a strong foundation in loan operations. With an emphasis on clear communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail, the Specialist I contributes to seamless collaboration across departments and helps uphold the bank’s commitment to reliable, customer-centered service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in basic loan servicing tasks such as data entry, file maintenance, and basic reporting.
- Learns and applies Bank policies and procedures related to loan operations.
- Responds to basic customer inquiries and directs more complex issues to senior team members.
- Participates in training programs to develop skills in loan servicing.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintains organized and accurate loan documentation.
- Previous experience with processing escrow preferred.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Related Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some experience in a financial institution or customer service role preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of PC applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly.
- Basic organizational skills.
