Job Overview
Daybrook Fisheries is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Parts Warehouse Lead to oversee parts inventory, warehouse operations, and material support for plant and vessel operations. This is a hands-on supervisory role supporting year-round operations, with peak production months requiring extended hours and flexibility. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, understands the urgency of production environments, and can effectively coordinate with maintenance, operations, procurement, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily parts warehouse operations including receiving, issuing, stocking, and cycle counts
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to support maintenance, production, and vessel operations
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure timely availability of parts
- Assist procurement with identifying correct parts, specifications, substitutes, and lead times
- Work directly with vendors on part sourcing, technical clarification, returns, and discrepancies
- Ensure parts are properly labeled, stored, and organized for quick access
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with company procedures
- Train and support warehouse personnel as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records using computer systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience Requirements
- Three to 5 years of experience preferred in parts warehousing, maintenance support, or industrial warehouse operations
- Prior supervisory or lead experience is strongly preferred
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
- Strong computer skills including inventory systems and typing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established procedures
- Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
