Purpose of Job
The Operations Coordinator will function with a primary responsibility to administer the Management Of Change (MOC) process using site specific procedures and update information to ensure changes are managed safely and effectively for the operating unit(s) assigned. In addition to ensuring adherence to the MOC process, the Operations Coordinator will participate/conduct audits, lead ISO compliance efforts and manage the Sasol Action Management (SAM) system for the operating unit(s) assigned.
Key Accountabilities
- Works to ensure a safe working environment for employees and environmental compliance for area of responsibility
- Maintains all compliance related documents for responsible areas/units
- Liaison between Operations and other functional groups ensure compliance on MOC change approvals and PSSRs
- Coordinates with the Governance, Assurance & Risk and Safety, Health & Environmental departments to maintain accuracy of compliance materials for unit(s)
- Audits the MOC process routinely to seek areas for improvement and drive compliance
- Performs other audits in support of ISO, Safety and Environmental procedures and regulations
- Ensures all applicable reviews and documentation for management systems is completed as assigned
- Obtains information from audits, surveys, interviews, etc to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations
- Provide management system coaching to peers and contractors as directed
- Other duties as assigned, i.e. participate in post-incident audits, developed detailed reports, etc.
- Build constructive working relationships with manager, peers, clients and other stakeholders
- Regular interaction to ensure compliance
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing or technical support functions
Working Experience
- Experience with OSHA, environmental or other regulations, preferred
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Efficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint is required
- Experience using SAP and knowledge of basic transactions is preferred
