Four years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been at the supervisory level or above in Child Support Enforcement, Child Welfare, or Economic Stability programs:Ten years of social services experience; ORSix years of full-time experience in any field plus seven years of social services experience; ORA bachelor's degree plus seven years of social services experience; ORAn advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration, or a Juris Doctorate plus six years of social services experience.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. Job Duties:- Plans and implements strategies to improve performance and service delivery outcomes across regions, ensuring alignment with Economic Stability goals and principles of practice.
- Provides direct supervision, leadership, and oversight to ES Area Directors, including setting performance expectations, evaluating performance, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented when needed.
- Oversees regional workforce management by promoting a high-performance culture, ensuring effective communication, approving leave and overtime, and managing hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, and retention efforts.
- Develops and ensures implementation of short- and long-range strategic plans for the regions in coordination with Family Support leadership and agency priorities.
- Manages and exercises final authority over the Economic Stability budget for the three regions, ensuring efficient use of state and federal resources and preparing expenditure projections and annual budget requests.
- Establishes and monitors program evaluation, quality assurance, and performance management systems to identify trends, assess effectiveness, and implement improvement strategies.
- Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with LDH staff, community partners, advisory boards, courts, and other agencies, while ensuring regional readiness for emergency response and continuity of operations.
