Duties
- Safely operate a sprinter van or similar vehicle to deliver packages across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload packages using proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and moving items as needed
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and any incidents encountered during shifts
- Communicate effectively with dispatch or support teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, pallet jack operation, and organizing shipments when not on the road
- Handle customer interactions professionally, providing excellent customer service and resolving any concerns promptly
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience using box trucks or similar vehicles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Experience with warehouse operations including heavy lifting, moving items, forklift operation (nice-to-have), and pallet jack use
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles (preferred) and safe driving practices in various traffic conditions
- Ability to load & unload packages efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of driving and manual handling tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts (nice-to-have) or other warehouse machinery
