Network Engineer
Reports To

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure network infrastructure.
- Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and services.
- Analyze and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
- Collaborate with systems and security teams on infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to IT staff and end users.
- Analyze network usage trends and optimize performance and reliability.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential network risks.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures.
- Communicate planned maintenance and outages to stakeholders.
- Research and implement new technologies to enhance network capabilities.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of network data.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and lessons learned.
- Support other departments with network-related needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto equivalent.
- Experience in network architecture, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, wireless, and cloud networking.
- Understanding of organizational goals and IT strategy.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and secure network design principles.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to research and evaluate emerging networking technologies.
- Skill in translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and cost analysis.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience in collaborative, team-based, multi-site environments.
