Possession of a current Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or a temporary permit.
NOTE:
The temporary APRN permit allows an APRN applicant to work in a limited capacity for up to 120 days while awaiting review for full APRN licensure by the nursing board. An APRN applicant cannot medically diagnose or medically manage patients until they are licensed and have prescriptive authority. If the APRN license is not received within the 120-day period and the permit expires, the employee must be removed from the position.

here.Job Duties:- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations; determine diagnoses, prescribe medications, and develop individualized care plans.
- Conduct women’s health exams (e.g., Pap smears, breast and pelvic exams) and insert long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) as requested by patients.
- Implement, monitor, and adjust treatment plans to meet patients’ evolving health needs, ensuring quality and continuity of care.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate and deliver effective, patient-centered care.
- Educate and counsel patients, families, and community members on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care practices.
- Offer advanced professional expertise and technical guidance to staff; participate in quality assurance activities and help develop practice standards to enhance care delivery.
- Create and manage accurate medical records and reports in accordance with legal, ethical, and departmental standards.
