The Opportunity
We're seeking a dynamic, strategic minded human resources professional to serve as Director of Talent Acquisition & Development. This person will lead the Foundation's talent acquisition function and begin building the foundations of leadership development and career growth initiatives. This is currently a department of one and the Director will have the opportunity to build a scalable foundation for future talent programs and lead efforts that directly shape the employee experience across the organization. Reporting to the COO and partnering closely with senior leadership, this role will be pivotal to shaping how we attract, onboard, engage, and develop our team members in the years ahead.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary driver of full cycle talent acquisition-from sourcing to onboarding-with an emphasis on high quality, mission aligned hires.
- Foster partnerships with business leaders to anticipate workforce needs, build an employer brand that reflects our values, and cultivate a candidate experience that stands out.
- Launch frameworks for leadership and professional development, positioning the Foundation as an employer of choice.
- Analyze recruitment and development metrics to guide continuous improvement and organizational impact.
- Build the foundations of a human centered talent strategy: thinking ahead to what our organization will need to thrive as we grow.
What You Bring
- Proven recruiting experience (ideally in a growth oriented, mission driven environment) with demonstrated results in sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and retention.
- Experience or strong interest in leadership development, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
- Excellent partnership, communication, and influencing skills-able to engage stakeholders at all levels and act as a trusted advisor.
- Data savvy mindset: comfortable working with key metrics, drawing insights, and acting on them.
- Strong alignment with a values driven, collaborative culture; a doer who takes ownership and enjoys building something meaningful together.

Requirements
Experience Qualifications
- Minimum: 8 years of work experience as a Human Resources professional
- Preferred: 10+ years of Human Resources leadership experience with a proven track record of implementing sustainable employee engagement strategies, recruitment best practices, and leadership development methodologies in a philanthropic organization
Education Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university and SHRM-CP/SCP and/or PHR/SPHR certified.
