Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled an Offshore Blaster/Painter to join our team. This role is responsible for surface preparation, priming, and painting of components used in the marine industry.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and can work independently or with a team to deliver high-quality results
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by blasting, cleaning, sanding, grinding, and priming.
- Apply protective and decorative coatings according to specifications and quality standards.
- Interpret paint formulations and select the proper materials and application methods.
- Recognize hazards related to coatings and blasting materials and follow all safety procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate assigned helpers as needed.
- Inspect work to ensure it meets quality, safety, and project requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area.
Skills
- Experience in offshore blasting, painting, or industrial coating preferred.
- Experience using airless spray / conventional application methods preferred.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating systems.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment and in varying weather conditions.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and safety mindset.
Pay: $2,500.00 per week
Experience:
- Offshore Blasting and Painting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- HUET Certification (Required)
- TWIC Card (Required)
- Water Survival Certification (Required)
- Rigger Certification (Required)
