Payment Poster

Job Description:

The Payment Poster is responsible for posting payments received from patients and insurance companies to patient accounts, ensuring accurate tracking of all transactions. This role includes reconciling payments with accounts and preparing financial reports for the billing department.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.

Reconcile daily deposits and payment batches.

Assist in resolving discrepancies related to payments.

Maintain detailed records of payment postings and adjustments.

Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of payment processing and posting procedures.

Proficient in billing and accounting software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

Effective communication skills for working with team members and patients.
