The overall function of this position is to be responsible for vegetation control in District 58. This position is located in District 58, Unit 765 and reports directly to the Highway Foreman 2.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Job Duties and Other Information
- Operate and maintain herbicide spray equipment to control undesirable vegetation.
- Maintain herbicide inventory and daily records pertaining to herbicide application.
- Operate other equipment as required, comparable to equipment operated by MEO 1, 2, and Heavy 1.
- Assist in the mowing crew as needed.
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on equipment.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG and will be filled as a Roadside Development Herbicide Applicator.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Thursday.
Compensation: No less than
$22.52/hour.
Special necessary requirement: The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and Class "A" CDL upon appointment.
