To protect homes and businesses on the West Bank by ensuring the Flood Protection system operates as designed.
ABOUT THIS POSITON
SLFPA-W recently adopted a new Permit Policy to effectively manage its permitting oversight for the Flood Protection assets it oversees. In the deployment of this effort, it has become apparent that a dedicated staff member tasked with the administration of this policy is necessary to ensure we meet our Board of Commissioners intent.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven years of experience in policy planning, law, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in policy planning, law, or administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in policy planning, law, or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree in business administration, public administration, or law plus three years of experience in policy planning, law, or administrative services.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

This position will manage the internal and external permitting functions of the Authority and ensure appropriate compliance from permittees as well as from our consultants as they move our capital program forward.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational - up to 24 months
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
