The Arc Morehouse is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Arc of Morehouse offers home and community-based services, residential services, and vocational services. We have part-time positions for Direct Service Professionals. DSP’s work directly with adults with I/DD, assisting them in learning skills to become more involved in our community and increase their independence. Each day includes a variety of work and no two days are the same. The Arc of Morehouse has great employees who value each other and are eager to welcome new staff to the team.

We are seeking workers to support program participants during their waking and sleeping hours. Responsibilities include ensuring participants have the support needed to meet the needs of their day-to-day schedules in a safe and therapeutic setting; providing transportation to their doctor's appointments, shopping and job sites; and documenting their daily activities.

Part-time positions are immediately available including day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.

Minimum qualifications include:

- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HiSET),

- The ability to obtain a valid Louisiana Chauffeur’s "Class D" driver’s license (the license fee will be reimbursed to the employee),

- The capability to pass a driving records check, background search, and pre-employment drug screen,

- Possess good writing skills and have the ability to use a computer (PC).

- Have at least one year's experience working with the elderly or persons with disabilities (preferred).
