We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Welfare Office in Sabine Parish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.
This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Sabine Parish Child Welfare office.

Job Duties:
NOTE: Positions allocated at this level tend to focus on a few examples of work as listed below:

Serve as receptionist for the office.

Supports Child Welfare Specialists in three program areas of foster care, investigations and family service.

Enters case information into child welfare software programs.

Process all vendor reimbursement forms and local bill payment.

Type legal documents, forms, and letters.

Assist or prepare documents for court system, work with child welfare attorneys, and complete Intake forms.

Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the Department.
Position-Specific Details:
Work Location: This vacancy is located in the Sabine Parish- DCFS Child Welfare Office in Many, LA.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Works Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
