The Population Health / Operations Analyst works within a team that provides support to executive leadership, management, and clinical staff as well as internal and external data users through data analysis and visualization. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and task oriented individual with a desire to pursue a career in healthcare data analytics and/or project management. The preferred candidate will possess a broad familiarity with data analysis and management skills (such as Excel, Access/SQL, report creation, data visualization, statistical analysis, database design).
The Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, interpretation, and visualization of healthcare data from multiple data sources, including but not limited to: electronic medical records databases, human resources data, training and development databases, and potential external data sources. This data will be used to inform decisions to support the organization in achieving higher quality of care, improving patient satisfaction, and the cost-effectiveness of services in support of federal and state programs such as Meaningful Use, PCMH certification, Medicaid performance measures, UDS, and many more.
The Population Health / Operations Analyst will report directly to the Population Health Management Director within the organization’s overall Support Division under the Vice President of Support at Access Health Louisiana.
