Role Overview
As an Engineering Supervisor, you will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for a portfolio of coastal and municipal infrastructure projects. This role combines advanced engineering expertise with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, foster innovation, and maintain strong client relationships to support community and environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Supervise the planning, design, and execution of coastal and municipal projects, including levees, seawalls, flood control systems, and beach restoration, with a focus on resilience and sustainability.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expertise in coastal engineering design, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Project Coordination: Oversee project budgets, schedules, resource allocation, driving efficiency and successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies, aligning project objectives with community and environmental priorities.
- Innovation & Process Improvement: Promote the use of advanced tools and technologies, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS, to enhance project delivery and team performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in coastal or municipal engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role managing complex projects.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS applications, and project management software.
- Core Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to inspire teams and engage stakeholders.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
